Advanced Simulation Technology inc. (ASTi) is providing a Simulated Environment for Realistic ATC (SERA) system and a Telestra sound and communication system to TRU Simulation + Training. Over the coming months ASTi will assist TRU to integrate these systems into a CJ1 Level 6 FTD for a South American customer.
SERA provides realistic ATC and other traffic radio communications, teaching students to interact with air traffic control (ATC) and handle busy airspaces. Instructors can select and run training scenarios using intuitive web pages. As a result, instructors no longer need to role-play ATC and can focus on training during each session. This solution enhances any flight training device, bringing a level of immersion and crew task loading previously unavailable.
SERA fully complies with the latest industry requirements for Simulated ATC Environment (SATCE) solutions, which include the “Manual of Criteria for the Qualification of Flight Simulation Training Devices” (ICAO Doc. 9625, Ed. 4) and the updated ARINC Specification 439a.
The ASTi Telestra system provides a comprehensive sound and communications solution for all classes of flight simulator, and extensive deployment across multiple Level D FFS results in fidelity benefits for flight simulators of all classification levels. Integration between SERA and Telestra is simple and seamless, resulting in a fully immersive radio environment for the flight deck crew.
This award further confirms SERA as a leading SATCE solution in the marketplace for flight simulation training devices. ASTi looks forward to working with TRU Simulation + Training, bringing this innovative training technology into daily operation.
